Large hand carved barnacle earrings. These studs are the largest single barnacle earrings I make and they really make a statement. I hand carve blocks of wax to get as close to the actual barnacle as possible then cast my master models. Once the master models are cast I am able to make a rubber mold and create duplicates in solid sterling silver or gold. These earrings are treated with a natural patina to give them the dark aged look that really complements the natural aesthetic. I then hand polish each piece to soften the sharp edges and give each piece a perfect finish.
