Nothing quite captures the salty beauty of the sea like oysters. Besides their beauty and nutritional values, oysters are also hugely helpful in maintaining marine ecosystems. They have the ability to filter 1.3 gallons of water an hour, clearing plankton, algae, and sediment that lead to low oxygen levels which causes other marine life to die. I studied a variety of Atlantic oysters from all over New England to create these wearable, miniature representations of the Crassostrea Virginica.
